SUMMER QUICKSTART TENNIS CAMPS I have a really fun kids tennis, fitness and swimming camp offered again this year in Rehoboth Beach and Ocean View! Last year's Rehoboth camp sold out most days and over 500 kids had a blast at MGT Rehoboth camp!!! Camps run Monday thru Friday from 9am to 12 pm at Villages of Bear Trap Dunes in Ocean View, North Shores in Rehoboth Beach and at Kings Creek Country Club also in Rehoboth. A first time camp session is also available this summer from 1pm to 4pm at Kings Creek Country Club. This is a fantastic camp and a great opportunity to give your child a fun camp experience, exposure to TENNIS, THE SPORT FOR A LIFETIME and fitness, enrich their time spent here in the DELMARVA BEACH RESORT COMMUNITY! Best ages for campers are children 5-12 and all camps will be limited to 14 campers daily. The focus is on fun while learning the basics of tennis. Developed by the USTA , QUICKSTART allows kids to have fun immediately even if they've never held a racket before! Format is QUICKSTART TENNIS followed by games that highlight social ability, interacting with others and fitness then a cool swim in the pool. Cost for the camps is $40.00 per day or $15.00 per hour.

ADULT CLINICS are available at THE VILLAGES OF BEAR TRAP DUNES in Ocean View and KINGS CREEK COUNTRY CLUB in Rehoboth Beach daily Monday thru Friday at 9am. Clinics are a perfect fit for players 3.0 to 4.0 level. Players outside this level should make arrangements for customized group clinics or private lessons . Clinics will review proper swing technique and fundamentals combined with fun games and strategy. Cost for the clinic is $20.00.

CUSTOMIZED CLINICS are more options for group tennis within MGT. First is the exciting MEN'S WORKOUT Tuesday afternoons 4:30 at Bear Trap! This is for tournament level players 4.0 and above. The play is fast and competitive! Cost is $10.00. Wednesdays at 5:30 KCCC hosts the ADVANCED CLINIC for league and tournament level players. Drills emphasizing court positioning, strategy are covered and cost is $20.00. Cardio Tennis is available 8 AM Saturday mornings at both Bear Trap and KCCC. Cardio tennis is a workout on the court with music and a focus on moving and hitting. Any level can do cardio tennis and cost is $10.00. Next the popular SUNDAY SERVICE is at KCCC at 10am. Sunday service is a clinic for levels 2.5 - 4.5 and drills focus on fundamentals then team games set to music! Cost is $15.00 for Sunday Service. All clinics are open to level appropriate players adults and teenagers.

PRIVATE LESSONS . I am available for private lessons at all MGT locations seven days a week during summer 2011! Private lessons are given at a rate of $60.00 an hour, $35.00 half hour. Private lessons with me focus on correcting swing technique and sound fundamentals from all areas of the court. TOURNAMENTS I offer a fantastic array of competitive options for tennis players wanting to test their skills against others. All tournaments are one day events on Saturdays and finals are usually done around noon so you still have plenty of time for the beach! They are a great way to meet and make new friends on the court also. The REHOBOTH BEACH UP-DOWN DOUBLES TOURNAMENT in June starts off the MGT tournament season followed in July by THE DELWARE RESORT CUP, SEA ESTA SMASH AND QUE PASA OPEN, COMBINED AGE DOUBLES and ending in August with THE SHOES OF HOPE TENNIS CHARITY. SPECIAL EVENTS This summer will have some great additions to the MARTY GODWIN TENNIS services mentioned above. First on the list is ALL LEVELS TENNIS BAR-B-QUES on June 19th and August 14th in Rehoboth Beach and July 17th in Ocean View 4:30 pm all days. Everyone brings their favorite dish and participants will vote on best dish for prizes. Cost is $5.00 for the tennis barbeques! Next is the THURSDAY ROUND ROBIN at THE GLADE 3:30 pm in Rehoboth Beach. Level of play is 4.0 and above and space is limited to 8. Cost is $5.00. Ladies' Day Tournaments are in Rehoboth at KCCC Thursday June 16th and July 21st at Bear Trap both events beginning at 9 am and lunch to follow at Bethany Blues. Level of play is 3.5 and cost is $20.00,  lunch not included.
