If you want to be part of an award winning tennis instruction program - now you can. Marty Godwin has moved here from Los Angeles, California, after teaching the world's celebrities and their families tennis for 17 years.
Marty Godwin Tennis teaches the fundamentals of tennis along with self esteem, discipline, confidence, sportsmanship and the ability to learn & play with others.
My goal is to give all students a strong background in all areas of the game.
I work with children beginning at 3 years old to adults on proper swing technique and how to use them throughout their career on the court.
My award winning program is unlike any other and tennis classes are offered for all levels of play. Summer camps are available and are popular.

I learned tennis at the height of the game’s popularity (1970’s) and at what many believe was the nation’s top location, holiday park in Ft. Lauderdale FL. Jimmy Evert, Chris Evert’s father, taught on the famous court #10 at holiday park. I learned along side of Chrissie and several top 10 players of the world and the nation’s top ranked juniors.
I learned the tennis business in Houston TX while working for CCA (Club Corporation of America). I was then selected to be the director of tennis and athletics at Tops’l resort in Destin FL (one of the nation’s top 50 resorts). In 1990 I was offered a teaching position at Riviera Country club in Pacific Palisades CA (one of the top 10 golf courses in the world). After that I started Marty Godwin Tennis. This path has afforded me a wealth of knowledge and experience. Through out my career I have focused on the idea of teaching children and adults the basics of tennis and
then combining families and students on the court together.
My tennis teaching style is very simple. I really stress the importance of sound fundamentals and the development of all strokes and swings. I have developed a style of tennis instruction that has given me a reputation of making tennis fun for kids and adults of all ability levels. More important though is how fast the game comes to my students. I can teach anyone tennis at any age and they feel like the process is fun along the way. Tennis camps for kids and adults alike are available.
